Provided that they defend a design of quality and original, the borderline between contemporary and historical design is finally rather thin and it has appeared as an obvious to present these two sectors within the Puces of Design from autumn 2016 in order to create a synergy both for the actors and the public.

Boutures d'objets is a design publishing house whose bias is to manufacture high-end products in France using innovative recycled materials. Shells, plastics, windshields, badminton shuttlecocks… make up the lights and decorative objects, whose contemporary shapes have been imagined by designers for the brand. Always on the lookout for material innovations, Boutures also designs and develops exclusive or tailor-made products for interior designers or in collaboration with other brands (CAMIF, DIPTYQUE, etc.)

On the occasion of the show, the Maison Wa boutique, located in the heart of Paris, presents a selection of decorative objects and furniture at the intersection of Japanese know-how and contemporary design. Ceramic tableware, bedside table and panels in vegetable lacquer, soft lighting fixtures in local wood, silk decorations... Each creation represents Japanese craftsmanship still preciously preserved today, in harmony with its natural environment. The creativity of Franco-Japanese designers makes it possible to revisit the old-fashioned art of living.
